Released digitally for consoles and PC in 2024, the 3D platformer Nikoderiko: The Magical World is finally getting a physical release with Nikoderiko: The Magical World – Director’s Cut arriving on August 22. The Director’s Cut edition will add a slew of new content to the colorful 3D platformer along with upgraded visuals and new music by famed composer David Wise. Preorders for the physical PS5, Switch, and Xbox versions are now available for $35, and you’ll even find a $50 Collector’s Edition filled with collectible goodies.

Nikoderiko: The Magical World is billed as “a love letter to platformers” that sees players bounding across colorful worlds filled with 3D platforming challenges, quirky characters, and challenging boss battles. The new Director’s Cut edition expanding the game with a new world to explore, a new Hard Mode difficulty, and new music from composer David Wise–best known for his work on the Donkey Kong Country series. Along with the new content, the Director’s cut also sports enhanced visuals and additional voiceover languages. If you played the original, you can transfer your data to the Director’s Cut–ensuring you won’t have to replay through content you’ve already completed. Preorders are available on PS5, Switch, and Xbox.
