“Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld,” the official description reads. “On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.”
In our review of Rebel Moon – Part 1: A Child of Fire, which debuted on Netflix on December 22, 2023, we said, “Despite a great ensemble cast, Zack Snyder’s space opera is let down by a derivative patchwork script, mediocre action sequences, and a superficial story that fails to live up to its expansive promise.”
For those who may have not fallen in love with Rebel Moon as of yet, Snyder has already revealed an R-rated director’s cut is on its way and “big chunks are different.” Furthermore, Snyder said of the hour-longer director’s cut that an “R-rated sci-fi movie at this scale shouldn’t exist.’
