Another Streaming Service Has Increased Its Prices Across The Board

Streaming services have been cranking up their prices in recent months, and now Peacock is the latest to follow that trend. As listed on its official site, the service is increasing its prices by a significant amount for all three major plans, though the optional monthly add-on to the premium plus plan remains unchanged.

The price of Peacock’s Premium Annual plan is increasing by $20, from $60 to $80, while the monthly version is increasing from $6 to $8. Premium Plus Annual is also increasing by $20, from $120 to $140. The add-on fee for monthly members who want to subscribe to Peacock Premium remains $6, making that cost $14 total per month. These changes are effective on the day they were announced, July 18.

Most (if not all) of the major streaming services have increased their prices this year, a trend seemingly kicked off by Netflix, which increased the price of its Basic plan from $10 to $12 a month in the US last October. Max and Paramount+ followed suit, with the former increasing the price of its ad-free plan to $17 a month, and the latter increasing its ad-free plan to $13 a month.
