The annual Awesome Games Done Quick accumulated another eye-popping sum to fight against cancer last week. The 2025 edition of the event–held in Pittsburgh in the US–raised over $2.5 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to cut down cancer deaths by 40% over the next 10 years.
Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 roughly matched the charity earnings for last year’s event, which featured Peanut Butter the dog playing the NES game Gyromite. The adorable puppy can also take down Glass Joe in Punch-Out! Meanwhile, the weeklong 2025 gathering saw a live band play the music for Crazy Taxi and a streamer named Dr. Doot utilizing an electronic wind instrument to play Elden Ring.
