Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod For Stardew Valley Gets Mistakenly Pulled And Then Restored
The Baldur’s Village mod for Stardew Valley, which added Baldur’s Gate 3 characters into the farm and life simulator, was a huge hit with fans, and even earned the stamp of approval by Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke. However, a DMCA takedown notice issued by Wizards of the Coast briefly resulted in the fan mod being taken offline. Wizards has now clarified that the DMCA was a mistake and the mod is officially back up.
“The Baldur’s Village DMCA takedown was issued mistakenly–we are sorry about that,” Wizards said in a statement (via PC Gamer). “We are in the process of fixing that now so fans and the Stardew community can continue to enjoy this great mod!”

A Nexus Mods spokesperson spoke to PC Gamer when the DMCA was received, saying they were also wondering if it was a mistake. “Hopefully, this is an oversight from WotC, who often use external agencies to hunt down violating content, and they will reverse their decision,” they said. “Fingers crossed for Baldur’s Village.”
