Superhero movies are known to be big draws at the box office, and that trend continued with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine this past weekend. The movie earned more than $200 million in North America for its opening weekend, but how does that stack up to the previous two films and for the superhero category overall?

The No. 1 biggest opening weekend in North America for a superhero movie is Avengers: Endgame ($357.1 million), and it’s far and away the biggest. The No. 2 movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home, made $260 million in North America for its opening weekend.

Comparing to the past two Deadpool movies, 2016’s Deadpool made $132.4 million for its opening weekend in North America, while Deadpool 2 earned $125.5 million over its first weekend back in 2018.
