Chronicles of the Avatar Hardcover Novel Box Set is Steeply Discounted
The world of Avatar: The Last Airbender is a rich fantasy setting that the television series only scratches the surface of. While the upcoming Avatar: Seven Havens will take place long after the events of The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra and feature an all-new incarnation of the Avatar, the lives of previous Avatars have been detailed in the ongoing Chronicles of the Avatar book series. Amazon is currently offering the Chronicles of the Avatar 4-book box set, which includes the first four novels in the series, for just $44.16 (was $80). The books in this collection follow Kyoshi of the Earth Kingdom and Yangchen of the Air Nomads, offering fans a glimpse into the adventures of these previous Avatars and earlier eras of the series’ unique fantasy world.

The Chronicles of the Avatar 4-Book Box Set includes hardcover editions of the first four books in the series, all of which feature removable dust jackets with hand-painted cover art. Here’s a look at the four novels included in the set:

The first two books in the set follow Avatar Kyoshi, who makes several appearances in spirit form in The Last Airbender animated show. The Rise of Kiyoshi and The Shadow of Kyoshi delve deep into her origins, detailing her rise as one of the most famous Avatars in history. The second pair of books, The Dawn of Yangchen and The Legacy of Yanghen, focus on Yangchen, the Air Nomad, the Avatar two cycles before Kyoshi.

The fifth book of the Chronicles of the Avatar series, The Reckoning of Roku, isn’t included in this set, but the hardcover version is currently on sale for $11 at Amazon (was $22). The sixth book, The Awakening of Roku, releases December 30, and is available to preorder for $22 at Amazon. Notably, these books are penned by Randy Ribay this time instead F.C. Yee.
