Everything Everywhere All at Once Directors’ Next Movie Will Arrive in 2026

The next movie from Everything Everywhere All at Once directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (better known as The Daniels) will arrive on June 12, 2026, Universal announced today.
There are very few other details, however, surrounding the Oscar winners’ next movie, including a title. In its release calendar update, Universal referred to the film as “Untitled Event Film Directed by Daniels,” which at least implies some kind of big-budget blockbuster.
It’s our latest update on the duo, who signed a five-year deal with Universal back in 2022. If 2026 isn’t soon enough for you, The Daniels will at least have one outing before then: they’re set to direct an episode of Star Wars show Skeleton Crew, which should debut on Disney+ sometime this year.
The Daniels started their directing career in music videos in the early 2010s, including credits like DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What.” They moved into film in 2016 with the absurdist dramedy Swiss Army Man, famously starring Daniel Radcliffe as a flatulent corpse.
They truly made an impact, however, with the release of Everything Everywhere All at Once in 2022, a wild mix of genres that became a word-of-mouth hit at the box office and went onto Oscar glory. Out of 11 nominations, it picked up seven Academy Awards overall, including Best Picture and Best Director for The Daniels. In fact, by IGN’s own calculations, Everywhere Everywhere All at Once is the most-awarded movie of all time.
It was also our pick for the best movie of 2022, and we awarded it a 10/10 out of its SXSW Film Festival debut, with Rafael Motamayor writing that it “changes the game for what cinematic multiverses can be, with thrilling action, excellent performances, and a world of possibilities.”
