Game Changer season 7 trailer reveals April premiere, teases… a field trip?

Dropout’s breakout comedy competition series teases its return with a musical and a mystery in the latest trailer for Game Changer season 7, featuring host Sam Reich in a vaudevillian dance number about the joy of a game.
Between the musical number, however, the trailer features cast both old and new — particularly in the realm of standup talent, with Gianmarco Soresi and Josh Johnson on a new Game Changer stage set — and some veteran Dropout cast making their contestant debuts, like Aabria Iyengar, Demi Adejuyigbe, and friend of Polygon Brian David Gilbert.
The trailer concludes, in what seems like a potentially significant way, with Reich slipping out through a stage door bearing a exit sign themed like himself, to the line “you’ll chuckle all your troubles far away.” Previous seasons of the show have kept their finales under strict wraps, but also planted plenty of hints in their marketing materials.
Reich has said before (in some bit of Game Changer bonus content that this writer unfortunately cannot recall) that one of the rejected concepts for previous Game Changer finales has involved taking the cast away from the studio (which was accomplished in season 6’s The Circle-inspired blowout) and also to the great outdoors. But with Game Changer’s track record in producing total surprises, if the final shot of the trailer is a tease, it could almost mean anything.
Game Changer season 7 will premiere on April 7, and will release episodes biweekly. Dropout’s news release claims it’s a 10-episode season, but as both of the last two seasons of Game Changer have featured surprise multi-episode finales, we’d take that with a grain of salt and expect some kind of surprise in August, when that 10th episode hits.
