GTA 7 theories are superior to GTA 6 theories

The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 dropped over a year ago. Those anticipating Grand Theft Auto 6 have been in a tailspin ever since. 

There is still no confirmed release date for GTA 6. Hell, there is no confirmed release date for the next trailer for GTA 6. The hype void is keeping players up at night; this week, diehard fans of the series found themselves yet again charting moon phases to pinpoint when a new GTA 6 trailer will drop. (Rockstar loves a waning gibbous moon?) 

Even if a new Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer plummets out of the heavens before the year’s end, no one expects Rockstar to answer their burning questions about the biggest individual game release of 2025 (or is it 2026?). Mainly: What is the game? How will it play? And what happens to Grand Theft Auto Online when it does come about? The lunar calendar only has so many answers.

For me, I’m way over anticipating drips of GTA 6. In fact, I’ve moved on to Grand Theft Auto 7. GTA 7 can’t come soon enough. I am all in on theorizing and speculating over GTA 7.

With GTA 6 still unreleased, most of the current Grand Theft Auto 7 speculation is confined to /r/GTA7, a subreddit where everyone’s uncle works for Rockstarter. That means it’s full of tight scoops and tons of map talk. And you can be damn well sure the map in GTA 7 is going to be sick as hellllllll!!

Some of the chatter on /r/GTA7 teeters into speculation. But with a game as widely anticipated as Grand Theft Auto 7, real details are bound to leak — and they go straight to the community. 

The long days between real GTA 7 news can feel long and lonesome, but the community on /r/GTA7 knows how to stir up conversation by asking tough-but-fair questions. I would not be surprised, considering how many of the people who post in the subreddit are related to actual Rockstar employees, if company staffers are taking notes here for the game.

Just beware of the hot takes. These Redditors tell it like it is.

Grand Theft Auto 7 technically does not have a release date, but fans have done the math and suggest the first trailer may debut on Nov. 12, 2036, which could be a full 11 years after the game comes out if rumors are true.
