Hitman Dev Hires Ubisoft Veteran For New James Bond Game, And He’s Excited To Work On A Non-Sequel

Hitman developer IO Interactive is making a new James Bond game, and while many of the key details remain a mystery, we’ve now learned a little more about it.

IO has announced it has hired Rodrigo Santoro, a Ubisoft veteran who rose through the ranks to become overall World Director at The Division and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora studio Massive. At IO, Santoro will be the Missions Director on the new James Bond game, which is in the works under the working title Project 007.

IO’s associate production director, Frederik Villumsen, said Rodrigo “stood out from the crowd” during the interview process. “As soon as we showed Project 007 to Rodrigo, he showed his excitement for the game and was already sharing ideas, thoughts, and asking many questions!” Villumsen said. “His critical thinking and enthusiasm are qualities we welcome, and we look forward to seeing him make an impact as Missions Director, where he will direct the balancing of story, art and gameplay to design the most amazing Bond missions.”
