Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Apple and Paramount Pictures announced today that Martin Scorsese’s upcoming feature film, Killers of the Flower Moon, will released in theatres globally on October 20 before making its way onto the streaming service, Apple TV+.

The film was originally supposed to get a limited theatrical release on October 6. In addition to a global theatrical release date, Apple and Paramount Pictures also released two key art posters, which you can check out below.

Based on real events, Killers of the Flower Moon focuses on the Osage Nation murders in 1920s Oklahoma. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone, Brendan Fraser, Jesse Plemons, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion and Tantoo Cardinal.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Killers of the Flower Moon would have a longer runtime than most feature films, with the film clocking in at 3 hours and 26 minutes – making this Scorsese’s second-longest film he has made to date.

In our review of Killers of the Flower Moon, which we awarded a 9 out of 10 on our review scale, we said, “Martin Scorsese’s modern Western, Killers of the Flower Moon, revisits the Osage murders of the 1920s with a masterful hand, and a shockingly frank approach to violence and white supremacy.”
