Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope’s Rayman DLC to Drop Later This Month

The Raving Rabbids have really stolen Rayman’s spotlight over the last 15 years, but now the iconic mascot is back as part of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.

Ubisoft has announced that Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope: Rayman in the Phantom Show will launch on August 30. This is the third major DLC pack for Sparks of Hope, and it will feature Rayman teaming up with Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach as they meet up with the Phantom. You can check out the trailer for the new expansion below.

This DLC pack is separate from the main game’s storyline. It’s set at the Space Opera Network, a strange television studio with plenty of props and easter eggs. The Phantom — who was a villain in 2017’s Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle — is now a TV director. A his studio’s ratings are plummeting, he brings in old stars like Rayman to help restore the network to its former glory.

Rayman’s battle arsenal is pulled from across the character’s lengthy history, including is haircopter ability, plunger blaster, and more. David Gasman is returning to voice Rayman, with Christophe Heral and Grant Kirkhope composing the DLC’s soundtrack.

The DLC will cost $14.99 on its own, and is also included in Sparks of Hope’s Season Pass and Gold Edition.

Even though Ubisoft wishes it had waited to release Sparks of Hope until Nintendo’s next-gen console, it’s still an amazing sequel. In our review, we said, “Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope takes the excellent tactical combat ideas of Kingdom Battle and runs absolutely wild with them.”
