Microsoft has made the Xbox Design Lab even better, as the company announced that it is adding designs from the Vapor series into the controller customization program.
Announced in a new Xbox Wire post, the Vapor series will add a dynamic, tie-dye-esque design pattern to the Xbox Design Lab. The designs should look familiar to Xbox fans, as Xbox previously made a special edition Xbox wireless controller called the Stormcloud Vapor.
The Vapor series will introduce six dynamic colors, as seen in the image below. Xbox notes that the Vapor colors use swirling color patterns. More interestingly, some of these color patterns are mashups of existing colors, such as the Electric Vapor, which combines the colors seen from the Electric Volt and Velocity Green controllers. And the iconic Stormcloud Vapor color returns, too.
In addition to a new suit of designs for the Xbox Design Lab, Microsoft also revealed a new special edition controller: the Dream Vapor. This new controller has a subtly dreamlike pink and purple swirl with thumbsticks, bumpers, triggers, and D-Pad pink, with the rubberized side grips colored in purple. Those who purchase this gamepad will get an exclusive Xbox Series X/S dynamic background.
The Vapor series designs are now available on the Xbox Design Lab. The Vapor Dream is available to order on the Microsoft Store with a retail price of $69.99.
