Mondo Reveals New Posters for Three Jordan Peele Films

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

Jordan Peele has established himself as one of the true modern masters of horror cinema. It’s only fitting that Mondo celebrates Halloween by revealing a trio of new posters inspired by Peele’s filmography.

IGN can exclusively debut all three of these posters – Get Out by artist Ashley Floréal, Nope by Raul Urias and Us by Rafa Orrico. Read on for a closer look at all three posters and to see creator commentary from the artists themselves.

Get Out by Ashley Floréal

“For me, it only made sense to take the bulk of my inspiration for the poster’s design from the striking visuals of The Sunken Place, seeing as the concept and the imagery have become so iconic in the years since the movie’s release,” Floréal tells IGN. “The intentionality in the use of high contrast blacks and whites, a combined feeling of weightless surrealism and terror to suggest Chris’ struggle for autonomy, and Mrs. Armitage’s teacup were important for me to reference in a way that still leaves the plot a mystery for anyone not familiar with it.”

Nope by Raul Urias

“For me, it was an honor to work on this art because Jordan Peele is one of my favorite contemporary directors of the horror genre,” Urias says. “Summarizing the plot on a poster was a colossal challenge and in general, I like the concepts to flow and capture them as my mind does; portraying the most memorable features of the road in the most enigmatic way. Also, going from a real action film to an illustrated poster is very interesting, imagining as it would look as an animation. My biggest challenge is to connect with the audience of the film, with the same strength.”

Us by Rafa Orrico

“For me, US changed the horror genre we were used to,” Orrico says. “The monsters in this movie are versions of the protagonists themselves and that fascinates me and I wanted to represent them on the poster.”

Preorders for all three posters will go live on Mondo’s website on Thursday, November 2 at 10am PT. As always, quantities are extremely limited, so you’ll want to jump on these posters quickly if you want to add them to your collection.

Mondo has become about more than just posters in recent years. The company also has a growing lineup of action figures and other collectibles. IGN recently got a first look at Mondo’s X-Men: The Animated Series Gambit figure, which follows up 2021’s Wolverine, 2022’s Magneto, and January 2023’s Jubilee.
