New Sonic The Hedgehog Lego Sets Feature Metal Sonic, Super Shadow, And Tails’ Cyclone Mech
Estimated reading time: 5 minutes
Three new Sonic the Hedgehog Lego sets have dashed onto store shelves this month. The largest of the three is a $45 playset inspired by Sonic X Shadow Generations and features Super versions of the two hedgehogs. Tails fans can pilot his Cyclone mech in a battle against Metal Sonic in a new $30 set. Lego has also brought the speed sphere launcher in Sonic’s Campfire Clash, a $20 playset that features regular Sonic.
New Sonic the Hedgehog Lego Sets in 2025
- Lego Sonic – Sonic’s Campfire Clash (177 pieces) — $20
- Lego Sonic – Super Shadow vs. Biolizard (419 pieces) — $45
- Lego Sonic – Cyclone vs. Metal Sonic (290 pieces) — $30
The new Sonic Lego sets are just a few of the video game-inspired launches this month. You can also get new Lego sets themed around Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and Minecraft. Additionally, The Legend of Zelda’s Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 Lego Display Model is now available at major retailers, including Amazon.
Lego Sonic – Sonic’s Campfire Clash (177 pieces)
$20
This is the most affordable of the trio, though it’s still packed with some cool interactive features. Along with four figures (Sonic, G.U.N. Beetle, G.U.N. Hunter, and a Tocky), you’ll get to build a speed sphere launcher that sends Sonic hurtling forward to zoom past enemies. Toss in three Gold Rings and a few other accessories, and it’s a nice little playset for 20 bucks.
Lego Sonic – Super Shadow vs. Biolizard (419 pieces)
$45
Face off against the angry Biolizard with this 419-piece set. You’ll get to create a posable Biolizard, a speed sphere launcher, and play with minifigures for Super Shadow and Super Sonic. There’s also a detachable pod that connects to the Biolizard’s back, which contains a Chaos Emerald for Sonic to collect.
Lego Sonic – Cyclone vs. Metal Sonic (290 pieces)
$30
Piece together a Cyclone for Tails to pilot, complete with a set of tools so you can perform “maintenance” before heading into battle. Featuring articulated legs, a stud shooter, and a hidden compartment for a Chaos Emerald, it offers a wealth of features and stands over 5.5 inches tall despite using only 290 bricks across the entire set. Beyond a Tails minifigure and buildable mech, you’ll get a Metal Sonic minifigure to battle. Metal Sonic is indeed more terrifying than the Biolizard.
All Sonic the Hedgehog Lego Sets
The trio of new Sonic Lego sets join an already impressive lineup of playsets and display models themed around the Sega mascot. Sonic made his first appearance in the Lego Ideas line back in 2022 with the Green Hill Zone Display Model shown above. The 1,125-piece set recreates the iconic first zone from the original Sega Genesis game. It remains the largest Sonic Lego set, and it’s also available for the biggest discount right now. Amazon and Walmart are selling Lego Sonic Green Hill Zone for 30% off.
Last fall, a 720-piece Shadow the Hedgehog Display Model released for $70 exclusively at the Lego Store and Target. The rest of the Lego Sonic products are playsets like the new ones or Brickheadz figures. Several Sonic Lego sets are retiring soon and are already sold out at multiple retailers.
Most notably, if you want the Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge, you should grab it while Best Buy still has units for $81 (was $100). The 802-piece playset is sold out at other major retailers.
Meanwhile, Barnes & Noble has four other soon-to-be retired Sonic Lego sets for retail price: Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot for $60, Tails’ Workshop for $40, Amy’s Animal Rescue Island for $50, and Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge for $35. That last one is fairly similar to Campfire Clash.
