The first trailer for Paddington in Peru is here, offering a glimpse of the action-packed excursion the Brown family are embarking on this time.
The trailer opens with the movie’s marmalade-loving bear getting a passport photo ready to visit Aunt Lucy in Peru at the Home for Retired Bears. The reunion doesn’t quite go to plan, as Paddington discovers that Aunt Lucy has ventured deep into the jungle on “some sort of quest,” leaving the Browns to go out and find her.

It’s safe to say they get more than they bargained for on their “holiday of a lifetime,” as the footage teases an Indiana Jones-esque adventure that sees Paddington and company make their journey by any means necessary, including by plane, taxi, and boat, until they reach the Amazon rainforest where they must get more creative.
The poster for Paddington in Peru shows the titular bear using an umbrella as a raft and a log as an oar on what looks to be a perilous search and rescue mission.
Ben Whishaw returns to voice the beloved bear for his third outing, while Imelda Staunton provides the voice for Aunt Lucy. The film also sees Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, and Samuel Joslin reprise their roles as the Brown family on the live-action cast alongside Emily Mortimer, who replaces Sally Hawkins.
Jim Broadbent is also back as Samuel Gruber, joining newcomer Antonio Banderas as the handsome riverboat captain named Hunter Cabot, who helps the Brown family on their Peruvian adventure, along with his daughter Gina, played by Carla Tous, and Olivia Colman as The Reverend Mother, who runs the Home for Retired Bears.
David Heyman and Rosie Alison have produced the Dougal Wilson-directed picture alongside EPs Paul King, Anna Marsh, Ron Halpern, Dan MacRae, Tim Wellspring, Jeffrey Clifford, and Naoya Kinoshita. The screenplay is by Mark Burton, Jon Foster, and James Lamont from a story by King, Burton, and Simon Farnaby.
The third installment in the series will hit UK cinemas on November 8, 2024, just over two months before it opens stateside on January 17, 2025.
