Paramount+ Unveils First Look at Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV Series

Paramount+ released a new teaser trailer for its upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem spin-off cartoon series, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The all-new original show is slated to premiere on the streamer later this summer.

It comes right off the heels of Mutant Mayhem and sees its fledgling heroes balance their lives as high schoolers while tackling new dangerous foes on the mean streets of New York City. According to a press release, the show will see actors Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon, Micah Abbey, and Shamon Brown Jr. reprise their roles as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michaelangelo. Emmy and Golden Globes award-winning actor Ayo Edebiri will also be reprising her role as April O’Neil.

The series is produced by Nickelodeon Animation and Seth Rogan’s Point Grey Pictures. Chris Yost, writer for The Mandalorian and Thor: Ragnarok, will executively produce the series alongside the director of Netflix’s Blue Eye Samurai, Alan Wan. In the past, Wan also served as a director for the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, and storyboard artist for the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

In our review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, we said “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem oozes confidence, energy, and heart, and the animated adventure represents a new high for the Turtles on the big screen.”

Let’s hope Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles maintains that same energy when it releases later this summer on Paramount+.
