Star Wars’ Infamous/Fan-Favourite Attack of the Clones Diner Owner Is Getting His Own Short Story
The infamous but equally popular diner owner from Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones is getting his own short story.
Dexter Jettster, the chef at the somehow 1950s American diner featured in Attack of the Clones, will be the centre of a story featured in an upcoming Star Wars anthology. From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi features 40 stories from 40 writers to celebrate the final Original Trilogy film’s 40th anniversary.
In a tweet from the official Star Wars Books Twitter account (below), the 37th of these stories is called The Veteran and seemingly sees Dexter reflect on his encounters with Obi-Wan Kenobi and how he played a part in starting The Clone Wars.

“Dexter Jettster thought of the boy he had met on Lenahra and all that the boy would never see,” the blurb read, referring to a young Obi-Wan. “He thought of the warrior the boy had become and the war that had been lost. The war Dexter Jettster had helped start.”
His involvement was played out in Attack of the Clones, as Obi-Wan visited Dexter with a poisoned dart he identified as coming from Kamino. Obi-Wan visited the planet, met the cloners, discovered the clone army, and so on.
There are obviously plenty of other stories contained in this edition of From a Certain Point of View, though another of particular interest could explain how Kylo-Ren obtained the melted Darth Vader helmet.
As reported by Cinema Blend, one story called The Steadfast Soldier follows a character called Enric Pryde who could be the culprit behind robbing the Sith Lord’s grave. Pryde, an Imperial soldier who’s confirmed to make it into the Sequel Trilogy, is present on Endor following the destruction of the second Death Star in this story, meaning he could quite easily grab Vader’s helmet before making his way back.
