Stellar Blade – How To Fast Travel

Stellar Blade has you exploring Earth, albeit our planet which has been ransacked and ruined by monsters. As you head to various regions and facilities, you might be wondering if you’ve got the means to speed up your journey. Here’s our guide on how to fast travel in Stellar Blade.

How to fast travel in Stellar Blade

Fast travel in Stellar Blade relies on a mish-mash of concepts that mostly depend on the location or region. Here’s a quick summary:

Generally speaking, you’ll be able to fast travel when you use payphones. You can also head to a different region by speaking to Adam, who’ll pilot the Tetrapod ship. You can even fast travel upon completing certain quests.Certain storyline beats may temporarily prevent you from accessing fast travel. For instance, you might be asked to activate a Solar Tower to restore power to a zone.

Payphones: Camps and waypoints

Payphones can be found in camps or seen as waypoints:

Camps come in two types: Legion Camps and Supply Camps. Only Supply Camps have a payphone that can be used for fast travel purposes.Standalone payphones are known as waypoints. There are no other nearby amenities.

Fast travel in semi-open-world areas or in Xion

You can interact with a payphone in semi-open-world regions, such as the Great Desert or the Wastelands, as well as the city of Xion. This will open the map screen, allowing you to teleport to another payphone that you’ve discovered.

Note that regions may have other points of interest that allow you to fast travel to them. Examples include exits that lead back to Xion and the Tetrapod landing area.

Fast travel in corridor worlds/regions

We use the term “corridor world” to refer to regions without a map (i.e. Eidos 7). So, how exactly do you get around these areas? Well, you still use payphones that you’ve discovered. However, rather than selecting points of interest from a non-existent map, you pick from a handful of camps/waypoints that you’ve already tagged.

Fast travel via the Tetrapod dropship

The Tetrapod allows you to go to other regions. Simply talk to Adam and select from the available options.

Fast travel upon quest completion

Last but not least, many of the quests/bulletin board missions allow you to fast travel back to the intended destination once you’ve completed the task. This significantly speeds up the time it takes for you to return to an area (i.e. Xion) to turn in a quest.

However, we recommend using this option only once you’ve tackled other nearby objectives. There might be times when the objectives of different missions are near each other, but payphones are further away. As such, it’s better to finish three or four missions in one loop, before accepting the prompt to return to an NPC or bulletin board.

This is how you fast-travel in Stellar Blade. While the process itself is mostly straightforward, you still need to be mindful of how the mechanic functions depending on the zone that you’re exploring.

Stellar Blade has you facing off against vicious Naytiba, all while trying to figure out your origins. Action, thrills, and a bunch of collectibles/unlockables await. For more tips, you can visit our guides hub.
