Subnautica 2 will include multiplayer and take place on a new planet

Subnautica 2 was announced at Thursday’s Xbox Partner Preview, and the follow-up to Subnautica will include an exciting new feature: co-op multiplayer for up to four players at once.

In this new title, set to come out in 2025 through Xbox Game Preview, players will discover a new planet filled with challenges, creatures, and vehicles new and old. The multiplayer mode lets players dive into the unknown with their friends, but Xbox says the solo mode will be just as difficult and exciting as Subnautica and spin-off Subnautica: Below Zero.

Subnautica 2 will be available on Windows PC and Xbox Series X, and will hit Game Pass on launch day, which will be in 2025.
