Subnautica 2’s Latest Dev Vlog Shows Off Co-Op Mode And A New Alien Planet

Unknown Worlds–the studio behind 2014’s terrifying underwater adventure, Subnautica–has released a new developer vlog detailing the studio’s progress on the long-awaited Subnautica 2, which was officially announced last October.

The vlog gives players their first close-up look at one of the game’s most anticipated features: a four-player co-op mode that allows players to explore the depths of an alien planet with friends by their side–a stark contrast from the original game’s solo journey through the deep.

“For the first time, you’ll have the chance to experience Subnautica 2 with your friends in co-op,” design lead Anthony Gallegos explained, showing off footage of multiple players exploring the underwater world.
