The Alien: Romulus Popcorn Bucket Is a Big Xenomorph Head (With Popcorn)
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
Alien: Romulus is joining the out-of-the-box popcorn bucket pantheon with its own bucket that’s shaped like a Xenomorph head.
Cinemark showed off the latest buttery creation in a video on X/Twitter today, revealing a popcorn holder that looks both terrifying and practical. It’s an Alien head, teeth and all, that seems to hold more of the movie theater snack than your average bucket. All you need to do to fill it up is pop open the lid and fill it with popcorn to your heart’s desire, though it looks like it may not be easy to clean.
Cinemark didn’t say when exactly the Xenomorph popcorn bucket will become available. It’s also unclear where moviegoers will be able to purchase one for themselves or how much it will cost. Still, it’s a horrific addition to a line of creative popcorn buckets.
Director Fede Álvarez’s Alien: Romulus will go great with an Alien head full of popcorn when it premieres next month, but there’s another snack holder coming to theaters even sooner. When Deadpool & Wolverine drops next week, fans will no doubt rush to grab its exclusive popcorn bucket, which features its clawed title character with an open mouth for viewers to stuff popcorn into. It’s a feast for the eyes, at least.

Earlier this year, Dune: Part 2 also released its own strangely-shaped popcorn bucket. We tried it out so you don’t have to.
Alien: Romulus crawls into theaters August 16, 2024. While we wait to learn more about the Xenomorph popcorn bucket, you can check out one of the film’s practical Facehuggers. Those hoping to see a better look at one of the movie’s Aliens can click here.
