Though it sounds bizarre to say it, some retailers think today is the perfect time to deploy their “boxing day” marked deals. While that wreaks havoc with my everything must be just so OCD, it’s kind of awesome too. The EOY shopping experience is going to be way better if I’m not also sporting an egg nog hangover or nursing a Christmas ham food baby. By all means, let’s jump the gun every year!
In retro news, it’s been 24 years since we unpeeled adventure in Donkey Kong 64, a game some call the top banana of Rare 3D platforming (I still prefer Banjo Kazooie). At the time, it looked gorgeous, sounded amazing (hello, DK Rap), and was absolutely stuffed with crap to collect and unique ability Kongs to switch to.
