The first episode of The Boys Season 4 includes a shocking and graphic scene involving a man’s butthole, and series creator Eric Kripke has now shed a little more light on this scene and how it came together. This story contains spoilers for The Boys.
In the scene, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) sends a text to Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) with what she believes to be the information about Hughie (Jack Quaid) that she asked Butcher for. But when Victoria clicks on the link, she sees a man’s butthole instead because Butcher was only fooling with her. We’ve now learned that Doumit’s reaction in this scene was genuine shock, according to Kripke.
He said on social media that Doumit viewed the butthole for the very first time during the filming of this scene. “All authentic,” Kripke said of her reaction to the shocking image.
