The Marvels Is Headed to Disney Plus in February

The Marvels is heading to Disney Plus on February 7, Disney announced in a new trailer, which you can check out below.

The Marvels is part of the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and stars Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, who teams up with Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau as the trio try to investigate why they are swapping places with one another every time their powers are being used.

The Marvels premiered last November and had an underwhelming performance at the box office, making only $47 million on opening weekend and just over $206 million at the global box office.

After its theatrical release, Disney CEO Bob Iger deduced that the film underperformed due to the lack of executives on the film’s set. However, The Marvels was not the only superhero movie to underperform, as superhero movies released in 2023 all struggled.

“The Marvels is a triumph. Its depth can be seen not just through its characters, but through its story as it explores war’s complicated fallout; the difficulty of being a human when you are perceived as a monolith; and the hilarious and complicated virtues of family,” my colleague Amelia Emberwing wrote in her review of The Marvels.
