The third Knives Out murder mystery is called Wake Up Dead Man, director Rian Johnson has announced.
In a brief teaser, below, Johnson confirmed former James Bond actor Daniel Craig returns as detective Benoit Blanc for Wake Up Dead Man, due out on Netflix.

In the teaser, Daniel Craig says: “In the beginning, the knives came out. Then, behold, the glass was shattered. But my most dangerous case yet is about to be revealed.”
2019 smash hit murder mystery Knives Out saw a sequel in 2022, Glass Onion. Wake Up Dead Man is part of Johnson’s two-sequel deal with Netflix reportedly worth $450 million.
In a follow-up tweet, Johnson added: “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies. We’re about to go into production on the third one, and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where it’s going.”
