This NFL Team Used Minecraft To Reveal Their Schedule After Utilizing Sims 2 Last Year

It’s the biggest movie of the year, one of the biggest video games ever, and now the medium to deliver the NFL schedule for one of the biggest-market organizations in the US. That’s right: Minecraft was utilized by the Los Angeles Chargers to unveil the football team’s 2025-26 schedule.

On X, the official Chargers account posted the video, calling it the Schedule Release: Minecraft Edition (Bolt Up). Along with showcasing the order of their opponents for later this year (and into 2026), the video recreates the Minecraft chicken jockey craze during the credits. This includes even a crowd of people flipping out when the scene occurs.

Chargers senior director of social media Megan Julian stated on X that the Minecraft video took over 500 in-game hours to create, with usually three meetings weekly (sometimes up to five) for the writers. Everything was made in-house. This is the second straight year the Chargers have delivered their schedule through a video game. Last year, The Sims 2 was utilized by the NFL organization.
