Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Opens at Walt Disney World in Summer 2024

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the Princess and the Frog-themed ride that is replacing Splash Mountain, will officially open at Walt Disney World in Summer 2024.

Disney announced the news on the Disney Parks Blog alongside sharing a first look at the brand-new Tiana audio-animatronic figure that will be part of the ride. Walt Disney Imagineering executive creative producer Charita Carter helped reveal the Tiana figure, who was talking and waving her arms around in the background.

Additional info was shared for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, including that there will be “friendly critters” that will be part of the ride who will be playing instruments from “natural materials they found in the bayou.”

Fans of the music that makes New Olreans such a special place will also be happy to know that industry legends PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard will be working on new original music for the ride that will join some of the songs from The Princess and the Frog itself.

Speaking of The Princess and the Frog, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure takes place after the events of the movie and follows Tiana as she is throwing a Mardi Gras party to thank her family, friends, and the community who helped make her dream come true of opening a restaurant – Tiana’s Palace.

As we previously mentioned, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is replacing Splash Mountain, but fans of that ride can rest easy knowing the famous 50-foot drop that soaks those on the ride and makes for such a special moment is not going away.

Disneyland fans won’t have to wait too much longer to experience this new ride, as Disney also confirmed it is still coming before the end of 2024.
