Tron: Ares pays homage to Akira with an iconic shot
Over the past 37 years, one particular visual has influenced hundreds of artists, animators, and filmmakers: Kaneda’s iconic bike slide from the anime movie Akira. Dozens of popular cartoons from Japan and the West have created their own take on Kaneda’s slick motorcycle move, including Batman: The Animated Series, Pokémon, and Steven Universe.
