Your Switch 2 Might Struggle This Week In US Heatwave
Parts of the United States are in the midst of a heatwave right now, and the excessive heat might impact your ability to play your Switch 2. Nintendo’s official support documentation reminds people that if the temperature in the world around you rises, the system’s temperature may rise too. And if it gets too hot, the Switch 2 may automatically shut down to protect itself from damage.
As spotted by Polygon, Nintendo’s support site said anyone using the Switch 2 in a location “where heat tends to build up” runs the risk of the system shutting down. But how hot is too hot for the Switch 2?
Nintendo said it recommends using the Switch in a temperature range of 5 C (41 F) and 35 C (95 F). The temperature in some US cities today, June 24, is expected to exceed 37 C (100 F).
